going crazy.

July 22 2008, 8:46 PM

Obviously its been forever ince ive written, i know. Its the middle of the second week at penn already and it feel as though its been a month. Its still so intense. Yes i like the class, people are okay, but the work is incredible. I have been getting about 4-5 hours of sleep everynight just because we have labs, reading, essays and quizzes almost everyday. ahhh. Ive made friends with people now- one girl from new hampshire, and another from oregon, and another from new jersey. My project group is hilarious. Its me and 3 guys...and our name is "the chits" look it up, the indian in our group taugh that to us last night at 2am.

So the weekend wasnt horrible. Saturday they dragged us to DC and my group of friends just went shopping in Georgetown and spent too much money, while others raomed around the washington monuments and museums. I got really cute Tori Burche flip flops and betsey johnson stuff. Sunday, ah sunday. I went for a run and then Cutie picked me up and we went out for lunch and saw dark knight! Yea so its kinda exciting....except..hes one of my good friend's god brother, and hes had a weird relationship with a girl from my school, that i think is a freak. But whatever, we had fun and i think hes really nice so we'll see.

I'm going to dinner with my dad now so ciao!! hopefully soon....

Finally here!

July 16 2008, 4:41 AM

Okay so im finally at Penn, and more importanty, finally writing! I actually arrived on Sunday, but  have been unbelievably busy just getting used to campus and classes and everyone. Its crazy. Atleast im in my own city. I love the campus and i constantly walk around, as i do whenever im in the city and have a spare moment, but i still have cage syndrome (yes even here!) because i miss my regular city area and people. Im learning more about the area but also about the program...the point of this whole thing i guess. In the morning i take a business case study class and in the afternoon its all engineering and labs. The case studies are really hardcore discussion and the kids are crazy intense, but engineeering people are pretty cool and its more of getting know each engineering dept and major, while doing labs. Everynight i have so much reading. I think ill get used to it but i dont know. Ive met a lot of people but right now its still kinda uncomfortable, not tense but still really impersonal. People ae nerds, even the girls are like ocd about work. I get my work done and yea, so i think its interesting and all, but please can we have fun besides capture the flag and a 2 hours lunch break to study for a quiz??? Like i told Z, its just too much right now. This is why im blogging and why i have a blog. random, okayyy. Anyway, i know im at a penn program for management and tech, but i must admit, and its best to do it here of course, that i miss guys. This is a co-ed program but they guys are just not. like nice, but not and not interested in even being friendly. I need nice, somewhat cute guys around and these guys so far barely clear the nice limbo. Ugh. I talk to Cutie on facebook but i have no idea when we can/will hangout just because its hard to have time to go off campus. Romer and i poke, thats all i can say...and that i miss him like hmm i cant even think of a simile that describes it. no nostagia, please.

transition

July 12 2008, 1:05 AM

I didnt really know what to call this entry because im not overly happy, but im not angry or depressed at all, and theres nothing majorly major going on... but i am in a transition of summer activities.

Today was the last day of the camp. It was kinda sad but those kids were driving me crazy. However, i shall miss them after a while im sure. Ohhh yesterday was fun though. It was such a chill day of sitting outside, making/eating ice cream, and I ate lunch with cutie, C. We were outside and it just kinda happened that we had lunch at the same time and so we walked about 3 blocks n then went back to eat. We talked about people that we both know and just stuff about our schools/college. Hes nice i admit, and possibly possible. But like i said, L dont have Romer syndrome with this one yet and hopefully, probably that wont happen. Plus i have the advantage right now of having his number, and he doesnt have mine hah. He does know people at my school which is a drawback, but hes majorly down to earth and just cool about everything.

So what happens since im not working in the city?? Im living in the city, yay! Penn camp starts on Sunday and im actually nervous, but excited of course. I dont get like immature nervous about this kinda thing, i just dont know anyone or much of anything about it. I like having a schedule, and i definitely wish i knew who my roommate is. ugh. They say ill find out when i get there. ugh, again. Also i dont even know if we are allowed off campus. I hope we are, or people are going to have to come visit me. Id like to party/hangout somewhere other than my penn dorm room. Plus i have to leave for coldplay on the 25th.

I drove a lot today. I drove part way to work before the train, and then after work i drove to the mall, to ritas, and home, alone. Its actually the best feeling ever. Tomorrow im working at my real job, and then majorly packing since i leave Sunday and dont have much of that done. C has been a distraction from Romer lately, but not a heavy enough distraction. Oh name for C now= Cutie. Original, i know, But like he is a cutie and his name starts with C so aaha! Anway, I accept that Romer is off limits and basically ou of my reach, but he is amazing and nothing will replace that, ever, i dont think. I hope someone could, but i doubt it. Maybe this summer program will bring even more distractions and ill totally get over that haunting mental block.

So here's to transitioning! ciao!

Almost time!

July 10 2008, 12:09 AM

So ill pick up from my last entry. Even though it was 4 days ago....

Sunday ended up to be a dreary day-not-off actually. Tennis was tiring, i ran out to buy clothes for camp, and after that, i had to go to a huge family party with 65030723 small children. ew.  However somewhere in there i did manage to go out to lunch at my favorite place, perkins, with my dad. That made my day worth living. The party was okay because i got to see a lot of family i havent seen in about 5 years, but afterwards i got a splitting headache. I sat screaming in my room for 2 hours, took advil, and crashed. Monday i got up nice and early, and went to work. Work is fun now that i know the kids and im friends with more of the other couselors. The other counselors in my class, O and J, are fun and we have fun making fun of the kids. a lot. I have a small crush on a junior counselor in another class, C, and suprisingly hes not much older than me. But like i said small crush, nothing like a Romer situation and hopefully it wont turn into that. ever. Anyway, today was awesome! I took off work to take my driving test and...i passed! Hah why would i say 'today was awesome' if i hadnt passed. So im a licensed driver now and i drove around afterwards. sweet.

This is my last week of working at the camp in the city. On Sunday i will go far, far away....well to the penn campus down the street for 3 weeks of my own camp. I have to honestly say i will miss people im working with now. Its weird but i will, even though ill see most of them again right after the 3 weeks. I will definitely miss walking around the city during my breaks, and maybe even being attacked by the kids in the mornings. On a positive note, i will not miss my mother. Wow ill be glad to get away from the constant badgering and complaining.

My sister is doing well in Miami. I talked to her today. She received all of my mail and is halfway done her 5 weeks! Im trying to pack for my camp now and also getting the preterm reading finished. Thats all for now. ciao! bisous!

bad mood, again.

July 6 2008, 3:04 AM

I actually wasnt feeling too shabby a few hours ago. I dont know why, but now i feel like shit. Ive been working at my real job for the last 2 days, 9-5. Weve been really short staffed on the most crowded days of the year so everyone was kinda bitchin out by 3pm today, including me. oops. It was 4th of July weekend so that museum was packed. like really packed. Arts&crafts, karaoke, and putting tatoos on small children isnt my specialty. Especially dealing with the pushy parents of the small children. 'Yes, the museum is in chronological order, yes you can touch the glitter, yes the stairs you are standing on go up to another floor'. Also after 2 days of seeing Romer all happy, and barely talking to me, i am also a bit sickened. Ive decided to block guys out of my life for now. No im not like that, im just tired of them being jerks. Im friends with a bunch but after that its like, ew, you suck, i cant talk to you...or in Romers case he cant talk to me, i guess. I thought there was a possibility of making  another friend at my other job on friday, but, eh hes friends with a retarded girl at my school so not so much anymore. That may sound harsh but if you saw her, her face bacially spells out stupid skank. Obviously my sour mood comes with sour language as well. This weekend wasnt all bad however because i ate a lot of ice cream last night. random, thats just how i roll.

Im just still angry that the Romer situation didnt work out, in any way, shape or form. Yes im talking about the one that started like a year ago and ended i dont know when. Its just depressing. still. depressing. Its hard to find people like that and no matter how much i hate him, hes the most amazing person i know. Im trying to make that not the case anymore, but its hard, and Z understands. --Even though shes been rackin' em in lately, but whatever, im trying to help her and stop focusing on my problems. The phillies just lost embarrassingly to the mets, after winning last night. Romero sucks.

Tomorow, however, i have off the whole day. I have tennis scheduled at 10am and then mall to buy camp clothes and sheets. I also need to finish my reading for camp. Ohhh it sounds intense, but hopefully it will take my mind of my loser social life, give me a new one, and make me feel somewhat good about myself.... gay much? Im trying to make myself not feel like a douche, i mean, everyone else does.
